The Seneca County Museum will host Dr. Chad Stebbins, journalism professor and director of the Institute of International Studies at Missouri Southern State University. Dr. Stebbins will present a program on his recently released book about Tom Connor.
Tom's family immigrated from Ireland as a result of the potato famine and settled in Tiffin, Ohio. Dr. Stebbins will share Tom's adventurous life and how he became a millionaire after moving to southwest Missouri. However, Tom would never forget his hometown of Tiffin, and his generosity continues through the Thomas Connor Commission "for the support of the poor.”
