Dr. Chad Stebbins presents "The Tiffin-Joplin Connection"

On June 17, 2021, the Seneca County Museum hosted Dr. Chad Stebbins, journalism professor and director of the Institute of International Studies at Missouri Southern State University. Dr. Stebbins presented a program titled "The Tiffin-Joplin Connection: Tom Connor and His Heirs."

Connor's family immigrated from Ireland as a result of the potato famine and settled in Tiffin, Ohio. Dr. Stebbins will share Tom's adventurous life and how he became a millionaire after moving to southwest Missouri. However, Tom would never forget his hometown of Tiffin, and his generosity continues through the Thomas Connor Commission "for the support of the poor."
